Well I personally would like a jagex moderator to please set these myths straight about the ring of wealth.
Myth 1: After killing a monster there is a so called "roulette wheel" that spins and determines the monsters drop. When wearing a ring of wealth it increases the chance of the that "wheel" to stop on the rare section part of the wheel. A new wheel then spins for rares. And the harder the rare is to get the lower smaller the piece of the wheel it is. The Ring of Wealth supposably only helps for the first part of this "wheel".
Myth 2: Ring of Wealth only helps coin drops not other item drops.
Myth 3: Ring of Wealth doesnt help to get rarest item the monster drops. Only some of the semi-rare items the monster drops. Ex. Steel dragons - instead of helping drop visages it helps to drop rune items from steels not dragon items or visages.
I would like to once and for all straighten this out. If a member of jagex can please truthfully answer these myths; then, i believe it will make a lot of people satisfied because, its a very questionable item.

Myth 1: The RoW increases the chance of a rare drop by 10%. The way I understand it is that rare drops are determined by a random number generator that's basically weighted depending on the item's rarity. So if the item has a chance of being dropped 1 in 10,000 times the RoW will give you odds of 1 in 9,000.
Myth 2: Ring of wealth helps with rare item drops. It does *not* help with herb drops or clue scroll drops.
Myth 3: It helps with every rare drop. So if you're killing say, abyssal demons, and wear a RoW and get a cut dragonstone your chance of getting a whip will basically reset due to the random number generator that determines if you get a rare drop.
